Jaguar is enjoying an excellent period in its history with popularity and demand for its latest generation of products booming. News of expansion, all new models, more jobs, and record sales, is well deserved. The Jaguar XE and all-new XF took on the Germans in the luxury saloon arena and won. Both of these cars are excellent executive packages that retain a true driving spirit. For 2016 Jaguar will launch the F-Pace and enter a market that they have never set foot in before. It is a big risk but considering the popularity of SUVs, the reward could be well worth it. What can we expect from the 2016 Jaguar F-Pace?
Something we can be absolutely sure of is that the 2016 Jaguar F-Pace is a good looking machine. An athletic profile from nose to tail makes it an attractive proposition for the eyes. Jaguar’s family traits such as “J-blade” headlights and signature grill detail the silhouette.
There is a choice of engines with an entry level 2.0 litre Ingenium diesel kicking things off. Then a 296 BHP 3.0 litre V6 diesel offers another step. That’s before a range topping supercharged 3.0 litre 375 BHP V6. A manual gearbox and rear wheel drive is only an option on the small 57.7 MPG diesel unit. The rest are equipped with all wheel drive and an 8 speed ZF automatic transmission. 0-62 MPH in 5.5 seconds is claimed by the supercharged petrol.
The all wheel drive 2016 Jaguar F-Pace has a rear wheel drive bias to promote keen handling. The company want to make this one of the best handling in its class. Torque vectoring will reduce any unwanted understeer whilst four wheel drive adds security in all weather conditions. This is not a rival for Land Rover, the F-Pace is all about on-road performance.
Equipment levels are set to be good with satiate navigation, DAB radio, 18 inch alloy wheels, Wifi hotspot, and LED daytime running lights coming as standard.
You can have a 2016 Jaguar F-Pace this April from £34,170.
