The big event is just a matter of days away, the air is filled with Christmas cheer and children are getting to the point where their excitement is getting the better of them. The many elements of Christmas day are what makes it so special, tediously repetitive carols included, but the act of giving and receiving is something that everybody overindulges in. There is nothing quite like running down the stairs in the early hours exclaiming “HE’S BEEN!” and launching into the process of carnivorously opening gifts. Though it is indeed the thought that counts, it is also the most anticipated gifts that are greatly received.
This year at the Inside Lane office we wrote an extensive list of all the thing we would like from Father Christmas and these ranged from vast quantities of spirits to rocket-ships, but after we had stopped being 5 years old we worked out what we would really love this year. The list just spanned 3 items…
Aston Martin V12 Vantage
Everyone loves an Aston for it’s British charm, gorgeous design and brilliant engineering. The V12 Vantage instantly became one of our favorite things on wheels as soon as we hit the starter button. The symphony of it’s V12 assaulting everything within 2 miles of it’s immediate location, well upholstered interior and a proper manual gearbox to really get involved with the drive. We’ll take ours in dark grey please and thank you!
Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG
Those doors may be there for no other reason than to show off but my god they are cool. Mix in the 6.2 litre Merc engine and that all important AMG magic and what you have is a beautifully balanced GT car that is capable of holding a slide all day long. As comfortable as any other Mercedes but exciting like no other that has been before it.
Bugatti Veyron Super Sport
It’s the worlds fastest road production car, of course we were going to ask for one! As we have said time and again this is a true testament to engineering and as the final edition of a car that is the stuff of children’s dreams it signs off the Veyron with a bang. 1,200BHP yet luxurious at any speed, an automobile at its most endeavoring.
So there we go, your move Santa…
