4. Saleen S7 Twin-Turbo: 248MPH
American muscle provides plenty of power and that is exactly what you need to cut through the air as it becomes denser at speed. Packing twin-turbo’s this cars monstrous engine roars all the way to 248MPH. Just don’t expect great MPG.
3. Koenigsegg CCXR Edition: 254MPH
From Sweden of all places the Koenigsegg CCX was quite the machine. Yet make it out of carbon fibre and tinker with the engine and the CCXR is a force to be reckoned with. 1018BHP and over 716 lb-ft of torque this machine is almost beyond words.
2. SSC Ultimate Aero: 257MPH
Knocking the original Bugatti Veyron off its perch by 1MPH this all American effort may not be refined but it sure is fast! 0-62MPH is done in 2.7 seconds thanks to a twin-turbo V8 and 1183BHP. The figures speak for themselves…
