Spyker B6 Venator Concept Signifies Dutch Supercar Revival

Once upon a time there was a little car company called Spyker. They produced fantastically detailed and unique cars that were sold in reasonable numbers. Struggling Swedish car manufacturer, Saab, needed a buyer and Spyker had managed to gather enough money to do just that. Try as they might Saab was a sinking ship and as it went under many lost hope for Spyker itself. However, in a rare good news story Spyker is back and with a brand new car! (Story simplified to the level of a 6 year old in a bid to stave of boredom and eventual suicide.)

The Spyker B6 Venator Concept marks a new dawn for the company. It is a 375BHP V6 Porsche 911 fighter with a unique persona. Looking absolutely delicious on its show stand in Geneva, the B6 posses an aluminium chassis and a completely carbon fibre body. Inside the interior is beautifully detailed and intricate in the same way a Swiss watch is. Weighing just less than a 991 911, but lacking 14BHP, we won’t know how the new car stacks up to the established German force until early 2014.

Corvette Stingray Convertible Is Alfresco Muscle

When Corevette launched their new model people were in awe for two reasons. Firstly, the Stingray name of legend had been revived complete with futuristic logo. Secondly, this Corvette looks to have what it takes to really take on the best of Europe. It matures the car from pure US muscle into a potentially class leading sports car. Now you can have one as a convertible.

The Corvette Stingray Convertible changes very little from its handsome coupe counterpart. Originally designed as a drop-top, the roof actually holds no reference to structural regality resulting in a convertible that needs next to no reinforcement. Powered by the same 6.2 litre V8 with 450BHP and 450lb-ft of torque, you can now enjoy the sound of that performance when the electrically retractable fabric roof is down. Also whilst in alfresco mode you can show of that fantastically redesigned interior to the rest of the world. Chevy say they will import the new Stingray to the UK, however, in left hand drive only.

Honda Civic Tourer Concept Reveals Its Seductive Shape

Estate cars are not the sexiest of machines you could own, but needs must and their is no denying their practicality. Though the crossover has stolen a lot of sales from this segment, the estate has a special place in the hearts of the people of England. During the 90’s they were the most popular cars on sale. Honda hope to inject a bit of style back into the big boot brigade.

This is the Honda Civic Tourer Concept, a close to production preview of what Honda’s estate variation of the Civic will look like. With an angular front end yet elegant rear, the car presents some very desirable architecture. The new “floating roof” feature is something we will likely see on future Honda’s including the soon to be baby CR-V. Engine are expected to mirror the Civic hatchback. We should see the finished Honda Civic Tourer later this year.
