2013 Nissan GT-R Gets Even Faster

The Nissan GT-R isn’t so much a car, but a technological showcase of what can happen when you give some of the greatest minds in engineering the resources of Nissan. The GT-R in its current generation has been with us since 2007 and with each new model year comes a few tweaks that makes the car even more focused. The 2012 car pulled a real ace from up its sleeve by dropping its 0-62MPH time to just 2.8 seconds. This MY2013 car gets even faster!

Power from the GT-R’s twin-turbocharged 3.8 litre V6 remains the same at 550BHP, but thanks to refining this already successful formula you can get to 62MPH from standing 0.1 seconds faster. Let us think about that for a moment… 0-62MPH in 2.7 seconds in a car that seats four and has Nissan reliability. This package can complete a lap of the Nürburgring in 7 minutes and 18 seconds, 3 seconds a lap faster than its predecessor. This extra performance comes thanks to new injectors, a new relief valve for the turbos and an improved oil pan baffle to aid oil pressure. Out of the engine bay the suspension set-up has been fettled with and other components strengthened. Also the front bracing has been strengthened.

The 2013 Nissan GT-R goes on sale spring 2013.

Nissan To Build “Limited Run” Of Juke-R

They say bringing a knife to a gunfight is never a good idea; but what if your metaphorical knife has a hidden talent? When Nissan said they would build a Juke that could rival the performance of a supercar, I will be honest, I laughed and carried on doing whatever task I was part way through and didn’t spare it another thought. When the car actually came to light, at first I vomited at its sheer aesthetic horror, but then was in awe of the numbers that came with it. Now Nissan are willing to build a few more Juke-R.

Originally set to be a technical demonstration of just two cars, the Juke-R cannibalises the GT-R supercar and takes with it 545BHP and a top speed of 160MPH. Thanks to the 3.8 litre V6 and all the electronic magic that goes with it, it is enough to worry some of the big names pictured above. Nissan will build to order a limited run of Juke-R using the 2012 GT-R as opposed to the original that employed the 2010 model.

No pricing was given in the press release.

Nissan GT-R GT3 Racer Sets Sights On Checkered Flag

A racing car is much more a scientific piece of equipment than merely a tool for an athlete to cross the finishing line. They are about precision and accuracy, power and weight, pure performance. The Nissan GT-R in its standard guise is an all mighty machine capable of obliterating supercars worth four times its cost. Put this amazing machine on steroids and what you end up with is a GT3 racing car.

Now available for private teams to purchase, this is the 2012 Nissan GT-R GT3. Developed by Nissan’s premier tuners, Nismo, the stripped out track hardened beast packs a 523BHP punch. The engine is the very same 3.8 litre twin-turbo V6 that the road car has but thanks to a little Jap magic, it is quite the motor to go racing in. The suspension is adjustable and all your usual FIA roll cage equipment is packed into the body.

All this can be yours for just under £250,000.

Nissan GT-R Track Pack Launched

The Japanese are just mad. Not in a negative sense as these people are just lightyears ahead of the rest of the world. Whilst we bumble about with vending machines they are streaming live T.V. on a mobile whilst on an underground rail system. In terms of technology you can’t do much better. This is also conveyed in their cars. The Nissan GT-R, thanks to its vast computing power, can blitz almost anything on wheels. Today it just got a bit faster.

We reported on the 2012 Nissan GT-R a while ago and we are still in awe of its incredible 0-62MPH time of just 2.7 seconds. Well, the very intelligent chaps at Nissan have decided that its time to make the car travel at an even quicker pace by optimising it for the track. This is the GT-R track pack and its modifications include; Rays alloys, racing seats, new break cooling ducts, missing rear seats as well as revised springs and dampers. The result of these alterations is that the car handles even better than the biblical base car.

All this for £84,450. Makes you curious as to why people consider those “slow” super cars such as the Ferrari 458…

Frankenstein’s Monster Comes To Life In The Form Of Nissan Juke-R

If you were to cast a remake of the legendary horror story Frankenstein with cars you could be in a bit of a predicament  as to what would play the doctors monster. The Fiat Multipla is a potential candidate with its looks bad enough to make children cry. But Nissan have your star in waiting and it goes but the name of the Juke-R.

We reported on this combination of corpses when Nissan announced its plans, but now “IT’S ALIVE!!!” The Nissan Juke-R is effectively a dismembered Nissan GT-R that has been cut and shut into the repulsive casket of a Juke. The Japanese grave-robbers literally pulled a working GT-R to pieces in creating this vomit inducing wart. Do we have anything good to say about it? The stealth paint looks cool, but in all honesty you could coat a dogs excrement in it and make that look just as good. Powered by the GT-R’s 3.8 litre V6 this concept will not only scare the children, it will also chase after them.

New Nissan GT-R Makes Its Debut

We all love a bargain. Be it saving a few digits on a bag of potatoes or cutting your insurance quote in half, there is no satisfaction greater than finding good value for money. So what is the car that offers the best ratio. Without question or shadow of doubt it has to be the Nissan GT-R. The supercar slayer destroys legendary machines that cost over three times its value and still provides a practical means of transport. Now Nissan has refined the science.

This is the new Nissan GT-R and being honest, it looks almost identical to the previous model. Other than a few tweaks to the bumpers and interior the car is largely the same on the surface. Under the skin, however, the Japanese have been using their fine tooth comb. The 3.8 litre V6 will now do 0-62MPH in an astonishing 2.7 seconds! Let us reflect on that for a moment… That is faster than just about anything road legal and only a whisker slower than the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport. 545BHP is channeled to the road producing 463lb-ft of torque in the process. All this speed means that if you are planning on purchasing this beast you might want to tick the new carbon breaks option box.

Nissan Continue To Build Frankenstein’s Monster video

The Nissan Juke-R is basically a gutted GT-R crammed into the body of the Japs little cross-over. War crime number 1, destroying a GT-R for no purpose other than curiosity. War crime number 2, forcing the supercars majesty into the unsightly body of a Juke. Regardless of my views Nissan continue to build the twin-turbo V6 monstrosity.

Nissan GT-R Based Juke Revealed video

What do you get when you cross a Nissan GT-R with a Nissan Juke. Madness is the answer! A 480BHP, twin-turbo V6 wolf in a rather ugly sheep’s clothing. This is the Nissan Juke-R and though only a concept for now, the Japanese say that it is designed to gauge the publics reaction to a “seriously hot Juke.”

480BHP Nissan Juke GT-R Revealed

The crossover is a type of car that tends to split opinion. Though practical and benefits from a high driving position they cant handle much more than a puddle despite their 4X4 appearance. The Nissan Juke fits into this category but also has the misfortune of being one of the ugliest cars ever conceived. However, Nissan warn not to mock as a storm is brewing.

The Japanese are planning a “super Juke” that uses the pounding heart of the legendary GT-R. The 3.6 litre twin-turbo V6 will propel this curiosity to 62MPH in under 4 seconds. This thing is Pandora’s box! Can you imagine Porsche’s reaction when they hear that a Japanese crossover is as fast as their flagship 911. From this sketch we can see enhancements to the body including those swollen wheel arches and a downforce inducing rear wing.

What comes of this we shall just have to wait and see.

838BHP GT-R Powered Dacia Duster Racer Revealed

The Pikes Peak hill climb event is hotly contested by a vast array of machines. Everything from trucks to hatchbacks, concepts to custom built rally cars all fight for the fastest time over some of the most treacherous terrain. Amongst these entrants will be an unlikely candidate from the much mocked brand of Dacia. Don’t write it off however as it packs more power than Lamborghini’s new Aventador.

Based upon the Dacia Duster this car is named the “No Limit” and has an incredible 838BHP crammed into its body. Dacia’s links with Nissan means that the GT-R’s 3.8 litre V6 engine is actually what is under the bonnet. The 26th of June is when this car will launch its bid to be crowned king of the hill. Don’t go thinking that a car with a spoiler this big doesn’t take itself seriously, they are here to win.
