Lamborghini Aventador Roadster Is Raging Bull At Its Best

The raging bull is the physical embodiment of automotive passion, adrenaline and style. Each car makes a statement to the world… “We are Lamborghini, we don’t do things like the others, take note.” Having long been the focal point of every child’s bedroom wall and every adults dreams, Lamborghini has ascertained a position in the market that makes them truly legendary. Today the Italians show the world what is sure to become a future classic.

This automotive sculpture you see before you is the Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. Breathtaking to look at with such aggression molded into every angle. It is a car with clear intent. Packing the same 690BHP 6.5 litre V12 engine as the coupe, the new machine features a two piece hard top that can be stowed in the boot. This is a welcome change from the unfathomable canvas top of the Murcielago. Performance is almost untouched from the standard car with 0-62MPH being done and dusted in just 3 seconds.

Set to cost just over £290,000+ taxes, the Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4 Roadster will arrive in showrooms next summer.

2013 Lamborghini Gallardo is Same-Old

Don’t get me wrong… The Lamborghini Gallardo is a fantastically capable machine, however, if we are witnessing a new generation of supercars then this raging bull is very much last seasons machine. It has had various updates throughout its product lifecycle; more power, updated trim and the like. The cars long overdue successor is set to debut in 2014 but until then we shall just have to make do, I say make do as if that’s a bad thing, with a refreshed 2013 model.

So, what’s new? Not a lot is the answer, in fact every model except for the LP560-4 is identical in every way to last years car. The LP560-4 itself gains nothing in the performance department but does receive some styling tweaks. The front bumper is much more aggressively styled adding some rakish angles and a smattering of intakes. The rear fascia is very angular and also reveals more of the baby bulls diffuser.

Lamborghini hopes this will quench your thrust until they say goodbye to their best selling model.

Lamborghini Aventador J In Motion video

What do you get if you cut the head off of the already ferocious Lamborghini Aventador? The answer is the one-off Aventador J… A V12 monster that is about as civilised as bringing a wild bear to a tea party. The car doesn’t even have a windscreen! We reported on the car last month but now Lamborghini are letting the world have a closer look before the raging bull is shipped off to its unnamed owner.

Lamborghini Urus Officially Official

We have had the speculation, the teasers and the inevitable leaks but now it is time to get all official. The Lamborghini Urus now stands bold on its Beijing show stand with nothing to hide. So what is new now that Lamborghini’s concept is out in the open?

Built to test the water for the Italians third model, the Urus becomes the second 4X4 Lamborghini has ever built. There is no confirmation on what powers the car but the raging bull promises over 600BHP and to be the fastest production 4X4 in the world. The cabin of the concept seats  four adults with all your usual luxury refinements. Lamborghini says that this off-roader path was taken over a super saloon as many Lamborghini owners also own a 4X4. Though we don’t know what engine is squeezed under that raked bonnet, speculation has it that it is Audi’s twin-turbo V8.

Lamborghini Super 4X4 Leaks Out Before Debut

Whenever a big car launch approaches, the worlds media will literally jump through hoops of fire to get just a sniff of what is just around the corner. Some journals, we shall mention no names, even go as far as making up stories just to claim an exclusive. We what you are about to see is no rendering or fairy tail protagonist. This is one of those “whoops, that slipped out a bit early” routines from Lamborghini.

So here it is… After months of speculation, this is the Lamborghini Urus and it is a “super SUV.” Sharing its new design ethos with the Aventador, the Urus sure makes a statement. Details are still shrouded in secrecy until next week but it is expected to be powered by the Gallardo’s 5.2 litre V10 engine. If it were to make production the 4X4 would also share the new platform with the next Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q7.

Lamborghini Tease New Super SUV

The raging bull is a symbol of pure rage and passion. Their machines howling at the sky whilst fighting a never ending battle with legendary countrymen Ferrari. We are witnessing the birth of a new breed of cars dubbed “super SUV’s” with Bentley and Maserati racing into the niche market. The speculation as to what Lamborghini’s third model will be ever grows, but now we know that in Beijing we will at least get a taste of what is to come.

Revealed in this official silhouette, Lamborghini are to bring one of these fabled super SUV contraptions to the show next week. Clearly taking the styling of the new Aventador with it to this new market, the concept is rumored to be powered by a V10. Very little else is known about the car but all shall be revealed very soon…

Lamborghini Aventador J Is Childhood Dream

Remember when you were a kid where a blank sheet of paper and a pencil were the greatest inventions. You could draw whatever your imagination came up with. Lamborghini are the masters of these beyond creative designs and the Lamborghini Aventador certainly captured the attention of the 6 year old within us. With the Aventador J, the Italians have fed their designers plenty of E numbers.

It looks like something fresh from fiction, the Lamborghini Aventador J is in fact a functioning machine. It is not a concept car but it is a one-off. Take the standard Aventador and hack off its roof, remove any form of luxury item, and add carbon fibre. The 700BHP 6.5 litre V12 now lives 4 inches from your ear and with a lack of a roof, or windscreen for that matter, it will be screaming directly into your eardrum to over 186MPH.

Lamborghini Gallardo Successor In The Works

The raging bull has been the only company to take on the mighty prancing horse and win. The machines born to spite Ferrari are just as prestigious at their Italian rival and that is all down to that raw fizz produced by Lambo DNA. Ferrari’s 458 is quite the machine and in comparison the Gallardo does look a bit tired. But never fear as Lamborghini promise a successor.

The Gallardo is the brands most successful model ever, mainly due to endless special editions, but after almost a decade it needs to up its game. The cars replacement model has been confirmed to be on its way but it is “at least two years down the road” according to Lamborghini’s CEO. We may see a glimpse of the car in concept form at Geneva, but one thing we can say for sure is that the baby bull will NOT be turbocharged.

I guess we are just going to have to wait it out with a few more Gallardo special editions…

Lamborghini Reveal Gallardo LP550-2 Spyder

Lamborghini often has the preconception of being pure rage in car form. Born out of spite and forged with adrenaline, describing one as a raging bull is commonplace. Yet, these days driving a Lamborghini isn’t much of a task at all. In fact its about as easy as an Audi and a far cry from Lambo’s of old where one mistake resulted in a painful death. But here is one for the purists out there…

This is the Lamborghini LP550-2 Spyder. It is basically a drop-top variant of the astonishing Valentino Balboni. This means the car has rear-wheel-drive and weighs much less than a standard Gallardo as a result. Its 550BHP V10 is mated to the 6-speed e-gear box and the whole package gets a nicely fettled suspension specifically tuned for this car.
