Jaguar F-PACE First Edition Shown off in Frankfurt
The highly anticipated Jaguar F-PACE First Edition has been announced during the Frankfurt Motor Show and will be produced in extremely limited numbers with only 2,000 examples being made – only 10% of which will be available in the UK. Paying homage to it’s original inspiration, the C-X17 concept car, the F-PACE First Edition holds on to design details first seen in the concept two years ago in Frankfurt.
Jaguar will be entering slightly unknown waters with their first performance crossover, but the manufacturer is adamant the F-PACE will be very popular after the attention the original C-X17 concept gained in Germany. Filled to the brim with technology, the F-Pace features the In Control Touch Pro infotainment system displayed through a 10” touch screen. This system also features apps and a wifi hotspot which can connect up to eight devices at any time. Going further into the interior, there are Houndstooth embossed Windsor Leather Sports seats, unique carpets and a Gloss Black trim finish, also featuring the Houndstooth pattern.
Designers at Jaguar have also chosen their favourite F-Pace design and tech options to go into the First Edition F-PACE, so as well as the upmarket infotainment system, there is also adaptive dynamics, red brake calipers, LED headlights with ‘J’ blade LED daytime running lights, changeable interior mood lighting, illuminated metal tread plates, panoramic roof and a range of other luxury features to come as standard. The dynamic S model body kit also comes as standard.
Powered by a 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine which produces 296bhp and is twinned with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, the Jaguar F-PACE First Edition will cost £65,275 and is available to order now with first deliveries expected in Spring/Summer of 2016.
