Change is afoot at Land Rover with new models appearing and others retiring. The ageing Land Rover Freelander is one such car that is coming to the end of its production run and will be replaced by a derivative of the new Discovery. Whilst the all-new Discovery is still a while away, the Land Rover Discovery Sport will be revealed on 3rd September. Land Rover have slowly been teasing the media with images of the new car and today released a video showing its interior.
The Land Rover Discovery Sport promotes high quality design and premium materials within the cabin. It will seat seven in a 2-3-2 arrangement giving it a significant advantage in capacity over its competitors. A large touchscreen infotainment system dominates the centre console whilst heavily sculpted seats house occupants. The rearmost seats can fold flat and all passengers will be able to enjoy the huge glass panoramic roof. Shortly after launch Jaguar’s efficient Ingenium engines, that will power the XE, will be offered in the Discovery Sport. This video further highlights Land Rover’s connection with Virgin Galactic commercial space flights.
The publics first chance to see this all-new model will be at the 2014 Paris motor show.
