Five new and exclusive Design Editions have been announced for the McLaren 570S, combining new combinations of colour, trim and finish chosen by McLaren designers in an attempt to showcase the Sports Series model at its very best.
McLaren’s designers have gone through the extent of options catalogues and trim options to combine style elements that they believe work best in showing off the dynamic look of the 570S. Each of the editions combine the designer’s choices of paint, wheel style and finish, exhaust style and calliper colour as well as the By McLaren interior package they believe goes best. They have also coordinated different materials such as Alcantara and Nappa leather to finish off the design.
To get a better idea of what this consist of, Design Edition 1 (pictured), combines a Vermillion Red body paint with five-spoke wheels, red brake callipers, a diamond cut finish and a stealth exhaust system. On the inside, the first 570S Design Edition gets a By McLaren package consisting of Carbon Black Alcantara and Apex Red Nappa leather seats, an Apex Red Nappa leather lower facia, Jet Black leather upper facia, Slate Grey contrasting stitching, a McLaren branded leather sill finisher and finally a dual colour steering wheel.
The McLaren 570S Design Edition models add an extra £8,500 to the 570S’ £143,250 price tag, which McLaren say makes financial sense as if you were to choose each option individually, it would cost a lot more – providing you are happy with those specific options in one of the five editions.
Buyers can also choose further trim and equipment specifications if they opt for one of the Design Editions. As well as Vermillion Red, the other four body colours on the Design Editions are Onyx Black, Storm Grey, Ventura Orange and Silica White.
Orders for the McLaren 570S Design Editions are being taken now with first deliveries in 2017.
