Cutting edge safety technology and a capable all wheel drive system made the seven seater ideal for almost any situation. Fast forward to today and the 4×4 has some very stiff competition. Revealed in full for the first time, this is the all-new Volvo XC90. Debuting the brands new design direction, this highly executive SUV has a clean and modern architecture. “Thor’s hammer” headlights and a vertical bar grill sets the tone for this premium product.
The interior is highly sophisticated and features a large portrait touchscreen display. Volvo claims that the sound system in the XC90 is the first to use an air ventilated subwoofer in a car. Again seating seven, the cabin is light and airy.
This all-new Volvo XC90 will have a range of engines on offer, but the top of the range T8 model is particularly interesting. It is powered by a 2.0 litre four cylinder turbo and supercharged petrol engine powering the front wheels, as well as an 80BHP electric motor powering the rear.
The all-new Volvo XC90 goes on sale next year.
