There are huge changes going on at Ferrari, arguably the largest since Enzo himself passed away. The first domino to fall was Stefano Domenicali who was the teams Formula One team principle before ultimately accepting responsibility for poor performance. A huge moment in Ferrari history came when Chairman Luca di Montezemolo “stepped down” after decades with the prancing horse. Many say this was due to clashed with Fiat over how Ferrari should be run in the future. The latest change is that Sebastian Vettel leaves Red Bull for Ferrari and will be joining the driver lineup in 2015.
Four time Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel has announced that he will be leaving Red Bull Racing at the end of the 2014 season. Officially he has not announced where he is going but after watching interviews and various sources coming forward, Ferrari will be his new home. Vettel has openly admitted to wanting to drive for the Italian team and it is understood that there has been a contract waiting for him ever since he won his third title. Vettel leaves Red Bull “wanting something new.” This after season where he has been consistently outshone by his teammate Ricciardo.
Alonso has also come forward saying that he is also evaluating his future, but some sources say he has already arranged to leave Ferrari and join McLaren next season. This big shift also throws into question who will be leaving McLaren?
