The Subaru VIZIV-7 SUV Concept has made its world debut at the 2016 Los Angeles Auto Show. The VIZIV is derived from Vision from Innovation, and is a part of a concept series that tells us the future of Subaru cars. It is developed under the ethos of the “enjoyment and peace of mind” that the manufacturer want to provide for their customers.

The main purpose of the VIZIV-7 SUV Concept is for Subaru to show off what they believe the future of their SUVs could be like. “The concept expresses our core brand values, safety, dependability, capability for outdoor activities and a forward-looking attitude,” Stated Takeshi Tachimori, Corporate Executive Vice President for Fuji Heavy Industries. “We know customers in this segment want a full-sized vehicle and the next 3-row from Subaru will be the biggest Subaru vehicle ever.” He continued.

The car is intended for North American sale only, which explains its inflated proportions over most other vehicles we see on the road in the UK, with it being marginally taller and longer than a Range Rover. It is also confirmed to have four wheel drive and will adopt Subaru’s boxer engine.

Following the company’s DYNAMIC x SOLID design philosophy, the three-row Subaru VIZIV-7 SUV Concept shows the direction Subaru want to take in terms of both styling and size in all their upcoming three-row midsize SUVs that will be introduced to the North American market in early 2018.
