The Ford S-Max is a highly accomplished car. Whilst most people movers are good at simply offering large amounts of space, the S-Max delivered an added sense of driver involvement. Being a thoroughly enjoyable driving machine puts it ahead of many competitors, but the model is beginning to show its age. Debuting at the Paris motor show, this is the all-new 2015 Ford S-Max.
This new car really is all-new as it doesn’t carry single feature from the original. Sporting the chromed Ford family face, the S-Max appears highly premium, almost executive in the way it portrays itself. Taught body lines stretch down the length of the car with neat girls detailing the shape further. Inside it gets the new touchscreen infotainment system seen on the refreshed Ford Focus. The 2015 Ford S-Max will seat seven as standard when it goes on sale next summer. Still promising a good experience behind the wheel, this car sits lower to the road than its predecessor. Both petrol and diesel engines will be available including 1.5 litre Ecoboost and 237BHP 2.0 litre petrols. The diesel on offer is a 2.0 litre TDCi available in 118BHP, 148BHP and 178BHP guises. For the first time all-wheel-drive will be an option. A new technology onboard is an autonomous braking system that can stop the car from speed of up to 112MPH.
