Welcome to the green hell… This is the worlds most challenging race track stretching just shy of 13 miles a lap in its longest form, the Nürburgring is the ultimate challenge for both man and machine. Steep elevation changes, off-camber corners and its sheer size makes it no easy task for even the most accomplished of drivers. Now it is up for sale.
The track that has claimed the lives of men and machines alike over the years is German government owned and is actually drivable as a public road to those brave, or in some cases stupid enough, for a small cost per lap. The track due to poor investment has made heavy losses and the government have decided it is time to let this piece of tarmac history go. For sale at the cost of £109 Million the ‘Ring and its museum could be yours if you have that sort of pocket change. Potential buyers are unknown but the sale does risk the loss of the Nürburgring 24 hours, Formula One and public driving ever returning to the track.
