VLF Force 1Henrik Fisker has had his ups and downs. When working for Aston Martin he created the beautiful Aston Martin DB9 and V8 Vantage. An ambitious attempt to start his own electric car company opened well with a unique design, but the company didn’t go on to survive. Aston Martin then prevented him from producing another of his creations that was based upon the Vanquish. Here at the 2016 North American Motor Show Fisker is here to change his fortunes with the Force 1 supercar.

This car has Fisker, Bob Lutz and racing driver Ben Keating to thank for its existence. Powered by a 745 BHP 8.4 litre V10 engine from the SRT Viper, this carbon fibre cladded coupe will get from 0-60 MPH in just 3 seconds and onto a top speed of 185 MPH. The quarter mile takes only 10.97 seconds. The Force 1 has two gearbox options, a six speed manual or a paddle shift equipped automatic. 638lb ft of torque is sent through to the rear wheels providing some serious performance. Brembo brakes can be found in each corner. It weighs 1,538 KG giving the Force 1 a respectable power to weight ratio.

The Force 1 V10 will cost £186,500 and only 50 are being built.
