Jenson Button Signs New Multi-Year Deal For McLaren

“They are the best paring Formula One has seen in a decade.” That is an almost direct quote from the vast majority of media outlets talking about Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton. The British pair that race for the British team are arguably the most popular pairing in the paddock. Today brings news of the 2009 world champion, Jenson Button, signing a new contract for Vodafone McLaren Mercedes.

Jenson has grown immensely since joining McLaren proving to be a true team player. He is currently 2nd in the drivers world championship and his set of skills are a credit to the team. This man deserves a place in this leading outfit, he has earned it through epic performances throughout the past two years. This year he even heads his team mate, not an easy taks when that person is Lewis Hamilton. Jenson said “I’ve made no secret of my ambition to continue winning races and world championships, and I fully believe this is the place where I can achieve those aims.” Team Principal Martin Whitmarsh continued this sentiment “I can safely say that he’s one of the most capable and respected drivers we’ve ever had, and I’m therefore absolutely delighted that he’ll continue to work with us into the future.”
