Massa Signs Two Year Contract with Ferrari

SHARE

After his horrific accident last year that involved a peace of suspension hitting his head at over 125MPH, it was questioned if Filipe Massa would ever return to the sport of Formula One. He did just that at the beginning of 2010 and still remains in the cockpit of his Ferrari. Massa had a strong start to the season beating off speculation that his accident has hindered him, but with his team mate generally outperforming him questions were raised as to his security within the team. Well his new two year contract should keep speculation at bay and silence talk of him departing from Ferrari.

Massa is signed with the Italian team until the end of 2012 where conjecture can officially start again. It has been whispered that Mark Webber could have filled his seat had he left, but no longer as Filipe keeps his drive and Mark stays with Red Bull. The 2010 season is only part way through and everyone is already talking about drivers as well as rule changes for next year. Let’s just wait and see who will be crowned champion…
