McLaren are one of the most successful teams in Formula One history and have competed in the sport for over 50 years. Many great victories came with the cooperation of Honda as an engine supplier and the keen pairing of Senna and Prost. McLaren is once again being powered by Honda and for 2015 the driver lineup is just as appetising. Something that did disappoint fans was the livery of the new car. Many were expecting the rebirth of the iconic red and white design, but instead the MP4-30 looked similar to the Mercedes powered effort. That has now been rectified with an all new livery. Finally the McLaren-Honda MP4-30 looks the part!
Finished in a gun metal grey and now featuring more red/orange, this McLaren-Honda looks like one mean machine. From a birds eye view, just like the P1 supercar, the livery incorporates hidden McLaren logos. Sponsorship features in white making for a better contrast against the base colour.
This new McLaren-Honda livery will debut at the Spanish Grand Prix where the team are bringing a host of updates to the car. The hope is that these comprehensive changes will boost the cars disappointing performance so far.
