Peugeot have joined the latest trend of creating virtual racers designed for the Sony PlayStation game, Gran Turismo. The Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo is the result of the games creator, Kazunori Yamauchi, tasking manufacturers with designing unique cars to commemorate the game’s 15th anniversary. It weighs 875kg and has 875bhp, meaning a perfect 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. It can also go from 0-62mph in 1.73 seconds, meaning a fast paced and exciting experience for GT6 gamers.
Peugeot already have 15 of their cars on the popular racing game, but for this the designers teamed up with Peugeot’s Sport engineers to great a beautifully designed endurance racer. The Vision Gran Turismo boasts an incredibly striking shape – razor sharp edges and sculpted curves are all designed to create as little air resistance as possible, this beautiful design doesn’t need your typical aerodynamic add-ons as the shape creates enough downforce as it sits.
The 875bhp 3.2-litre V6 turbo engine is twinned with a six-speed manual transmission with power being sent to all four wheels. The 22-inch front alloys and 23-inch alloys at the rear house ventilated Brembo carbon discs to ensure the deceleration is just as mind-boggling as the acceleration. This virtual monster is therefore worthy of tackling any challenge Gran Turismo can throw at you and will ensure you’re the fastest on the circuit.
The Peugeot Vision Gran Turismo will be part of a free update to Gran Turismo 6 coming very soon on the PlayStation 3 – where it will be available on 40 tracks with 107 layouts, all in High Definition magnificence.
