Welcome to the 2015 Franfurt Motor Show where the offering from major car manufacturers is plentiful this year. The German show is a rich and varied verity of models for 2015 containing plenty of the expected, but also a good does of the unexpected. Factor in a surprise or two along the way and you have one of the highlights of the year.
Something that has been coming for a long time is the Bentley Bentayga. Claiming to be the worlds fastest SUV, this luxury car has been redesigned since its original concept after many disliked it. Now looking much more contemporary, this car will no doubt be a big seller for Bentley.
It is a new Dawn for Rolls-Royce at Frankfurt, quite literally, with the 2015 Rolls-Royce Dawn. This convertible is aimed at a younger audience than is traditional for the British brand but is still powered by a V12. We will be at Goodwood getting up close and personal with the Dawn, so keep an eye out for that.
One of the biggest news stories has to be the turbocharging of the Porsche 911. For over 50 year natural aspiration has been its mainstay, but forced induction is now the only way it can meet emissions regulations in the future. The question is, can it retain its cult following?
