The Ferrari 458 Speciale is arguably one of the greatest prancing horses to come from the house that Enzo built. It is beautiful in both form and function delivering everything a modern Ferrari should. As complete as the Speciale is, some buyers still wanted more from the hardcore 4.5 litre supercar. Making its debut at the Paris motor show, the Speciale is going topless. Enter the Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta.
In a stunning yellow and black livery, the Ferrari 458 Speciale Aperta looks even more aggressive than its coupe counterpart. Weighing only 50KG more than the aforementioned coupe, the Speciale A’s metal folding roof can transform the car in 14 seconds. Bonnet nostrils, naked carbon fins and a large diffuser all play their part in creating this aggressive silhouette. Active aerodynamics feature at both the front and rear. Power comes from a naturally aspirated 4.5 litre V8 producing 597BHP and 398b ft of torque. 0-62MPH takes just 3.0 seconds which is identical to the coupe. 0-124MPH is completed in as little as 9.5 seconds. Inside exclusive blue carbon fibre lines the cockpit along with a plaque celebrating the numerous awards this engine has won. Production will be limited to just 499 examples at an as yet to be specified price.
