Alonso and Massa Make Ferrari F12 Dance

To be a Formula One pilot it you must be such a high caliber of driver that you could literally drive the wheels off of anything. Be it a Lamborghini or a Lada, your performance should be at its best. So imagine what would happen if you gave such a person a weapon just as capable as they were. Something such as Ferrari’s new F12 Berlinetta?

Ferrari F1 drivers Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa got the change to have some “playtime” with the latest prancing horse and lets just say, all 730 horses under the bonnet were put to good use. Drifting the cars within inches of each other around Fiorano is all in a days work for these guys. This is driving at its top level and you wont regret watching the video…

Cost of Buying a Ferrari Rises

Ferrari is the worlds most recognized brand, not just of performance machines, but of anything. The prancing horse is recognized by the vast majority of the population and symbolizes the pinnacle of performance. Born on the race track with the cutting edge technology filtering down into stallions that those who can afford one may possess. So if only the wealthy can buy such a car why am I writing an article on how much they cost. I mean, the price tag is peanuts to rich isn’t it?

Well that may be but whilst doing some research for another piece I am working on I stumbled across something rather interesting. Each models successor is more costly than the last. “Well that is no surprise” I hear you cry. Well that is until you hear by how much… 8 years ago Ferrari produced the much missed 612 Scaglietti, the car that preceded the FF. This cost a rather princely £182,952 in its most basic trim. So factoring in inflation, cost of production and new technologies what do you recon the starting price of the FF is? The answer? £227,077! That is an increase of £44,125. Now the FF may be leaps and bounds faster than the 612 but can you honestly say that this increase is justified? It is the same with the new F12 Berlinetta. Though prices have yet to be announced, the speculation is that it will cost around £250,000 as opposed to the 599’s £212,066.

I’m sure Ferrari have their reasons for this, such as wanting to see an increase in profits year on year despite the economic downturn, but from a customers point of view you begin to wonder if the badge is worth it?

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta Hits The Track video

Build Your Perfect Ferrari F12 Berlinetta

Ferrari’s fastest ever road production car was unveiled to the world just a matter of days ago. The 730BHP V12 monster goes by the name F12 Berlinetta. This Italian stallion will rack up 0-62MPH in just 3.1 seconds and Ferrari says that its top speed is “at least 211MPH.” Though pricing has yet to be announced, Ferrari are allowing you to build up you perfect F12.

Though the options at this point in time are limited, due to them not all being reveled yet, the configurator does enough to spark a hunger for this machine. We opted for the non-metallic black paint paired with some rather persuasive black spoked alloys. The calipers are red to match other detailing on the car. Our cockpit is black and brown as this was one of two options for now, but when it comes to ordering our F12 we will be going for a predominately black look with red stitching.
