The Goodwood Festival of Speed is in full swing and as some of the finest cars on four wheels power their way up the famous hill, many manufactures have taken this opportunity to debut new models. Aston Martin have done something rather interesting, presenting to the world a one-off special edition car. This is the Aston Martin Vantage GT12 Roadster and it is both beauty and the beast!

It is a strikingly powerful design that takes the already rare GT12 and treats it to some alfresco motoring. Only one of these cars will ever be built as it was a request from the British brands best customers and saw them pay a pretty penny for the privilege.

Power for the Aston Martin Vantage GT12 Roadster is sourced from the same 5.9 litre V12 engine found in the GT12 coupe meaning that output is a hefty 592 BHP. Q, Aston Martin’s special operations division, were responsible for this cars design and they had to do more work than simply take its roof off. Structural righty has been retained through extra bracing whilst a bid to keep weight down using light materials has been made.

This beautifully muscular machine has become the stars of this years Festival of speed, and quite rightly so. It is a true embodiment of the brand. Want one? Have deep enough pockets to make it a reality? Sadly Aston Martin have already said that they will not make another for any amount of money.
